Who am I

My name is Evon McCorkle. I’m a 20 year old Seattle college student studying physics, and like many people in this community, my path hasn’t been easy.

I’ve experienced housing instability, relied on public assistance, and worked to stay in school while navigating real-life challenges. Those experiences didn’t hold me back they shaped how I see the world and why I care about the issues that affect everyday people.

I believe in education as a pathway forward, in stable housing as a basic foundation, and in making sure people especially those who feel unheard have a voice in the decisions that impact their lives.

I’m not coming into this with decades of political experience. I’m coming in with lived experience, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to serve my community with honesty and focus.

This is about building something better, together.
